5 Quick And Easy Spring Make-Up Trends To Freshen Up Your Look
While glass and cloud skin trends have dominated our feeds over the past couple of years, the reality is that healthy skin comes in all different textures. “I’m obsessed with seeing real skin,” shares Wood. “I’ve been noticing a shift toward texture – that real lived-in skin – it feels honest and brave,” she adds. “The bare skin approach is ideal for spring because it’s comfortable and wearable but still expressive,” Wood adds. Plus: “It’s heavenly to pair with a blurred lip.”
Keep your skin bare of base (while wearing SPF, of course), and use either a blusher, bronzer or lip liner to add some pigment to your look. You really don’t need all three. The trick is to apply concentrated product to one area first – be it your cheeks, lips or temples – and then use the residue to shade the other desired areas of your face. A final, optional step is to curl your lashes.
“I love using super pigmented lip liner, such as Fara Homidi’s Smudge & Contour Lip Pencil and pair it with Violette FR’s Bisou Balm Sheer Matte Lipstick, or Westman Atelier’s Lip Suede Matte Lipstick,” Wood says.
